Report: Backstage News On Dakota Kai's Absence From WWE NXT

She hasn't been in the ring since WarGames...

Dakota Kai hasn't appeared inside the Capitol Wrestling Center since NXT TakeOver: WarGames and Raquel Gonzalez has been without her friend for the last couple of weeks.

In a Casualties of WarGames vignette, Kai revealed she would be gone "for a while" because of undisclosed injuries she suffered inside the structure. She referenced taking an Eclipse from Ember Moon onto two steel chairs and being beaten with a hammer by Rhea Ripley as the reasons for her absence.

According to Fightful Select, Kai isn't actually battling an injury. She is instead being kept off TV while WWE works to "clear up her visa." She is expected to be back on the black and gold brand soon and is expected to continue with her UpUpDownDown commitments.

As Kai is from New Zealand, she requires a visa to work in the United States. Australian Rhea Ripley was affected by a visa issue earlier this year and was set to travel home to renew it. The COVID-19 pandemic meant she ultimately had to renew the visa in the US, though.
