Report: Las Vegas The Leading Candidate for WWE SummerSlam 2021

'The Biggest Party Of The Summer' Will Be in Vegas!

Las Vegas, Nevada has reportedly been identified by WWE as their leading candidate to host this year's SummerSlam.

Sports Illustrated reported on Thursday that the promotion were strongly considering Nevada for their annual Summer pay-per-view, as WWE looks to get back to welcoming live fan attendance, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE are looking to take SummerSlam to the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise.

It was noted earlier this month that Madison Square Garden was also a consideration for WWE for SummerSlam, but it appears that the famous New York City venue is no longer the top option.

WWE is apparently targeting a mid-July return for running shows in front of live crowds, with Money In the Bank pinned as the first major WWE show since WrestleMania 37 to have a live attendance. The hope is that WWE will be back on a full touring schedule in time for SummerSlam.

With that in mind, Hell In a Cell 2021 next month should be the last WWE pay-per-view to be presented from the ThunderDome environment.
