Report: Latest On Adam Cole's AEW Status

What is going on with Adam Cole?

An update on Adam Cole's future in All Elite Wrestling has emerged.

The popular talent has been out of action since the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 26 where he suffered a serious concussion in a Four-Way for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Cole has only appeared on AEW TV once since then, turning on The Young Bucks with Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish in August.

It emerged following the August appearance that Cole had still not been cleared to compete and Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio today that it is unknown when the former NXT Champion will be back in the ring. Meltzer even speculated that Cole might never wrestle again such is the severity of his concussion.

"I mean, it's a concussion, it's a bad concussion, real bad concussion. But I have not heard, I don't know. He'll be back when he's cleared. It could be tomorrow and it could be never, you know what I mean?" Meltzer said.

Cole has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since September of 2021. He has so far unsuccessfully challenged for the AEW World Championship and he was the winner of the inaugural Men's Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
