Report: Local Authorities Tried To Shut AEW Dynamite Tapings Down
A Stay-At-Home Order Is In Effect In Georgia...
Reports have emerged saying that local authorities attempted to shut down this week's AEW Dynamite tapings in Norcross, GA.
According to reports, AEW had the proper paperwork on hand to allow the tapings to go forward safely. State officials then remained at the tapings to make sure that all protocols were followed properly.
The tapings were moved from Dynamite's recent home of Daily's Place in Jacksonville, due to both a stay-at-home order being enacted in Florida, as well as the fact that the area of Daily's Place is being used as a coronavirus testing site.
The shows moved to QT Marshall's One Fall Power Factory (aka "The Nightmare Factory") in Norcross, GA. However, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp also enacted a stay-at-home order, which goes into effect today, and runs through Monday, April 13.
According to Dave Meltzer, AEW has taped multiple weeks worth of programming, should they be unable to find another reasonable taping site while the stay-at-home orders are in place. This includes a World title match between Jon Moxley and Jake Hager that airs on April 15.
