Report: More Mainstream Stories On Vince McMahon "In The Works"

Including the Wall Street Journal

A pair of mainstream outlets are working on stories about Vince McMahon, according to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

The report cites one source as having been contacted for a possible interview with HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel on the McMahon allegations. The program is also reportedly looking to speak with other former female employees of WWE.

In addition, reporters at The Wall Street Journal are working on yet another potential story on McMahon that they expect to be released, "... in the coming weeks", and have been trying to get in contact with former WWE women's wrestlers over the past few days.

The Wall Street Journal released two earlier stories on the McMahon allegations: the original June 15 report on the $3 million in hush money McMahon paid to a former female employee, and the July 8 story detailing some $12 million in hush payouts, including $7.5 million paid to a former female wrestler that alleged sexual misconduct on the part of McMahon.

Variety released a story this weekend on the McMahon allegations, and they effect they could have on Nick Khan's attempt to expand the financial viability of WWE over the coming years, particularly with media contracts coming due.
