Report: Ren Narita To Make AEW In-Ring Debut On Dark

The Young Lion will face Royce Isaacs

Ren Narita was scheduled to make his in-ring debut in All Elite Wrestling earlier this week.

The NJPW Young Lion was advertised to face former NWA World Tag Team Champion Royce Isaacs on Dark, but the match didn't make it on the air.

The match will be broadcast next week, though, according to Wrestling Observer's Josh Nason

This will be Narita's second AEW appearance. Narita first appeared in the American promotion on last week's edition of Dynamite when he accompanied Yuji Nagata to the ring for his IWGP United States Heavyweight Title match against Jon Moxley.

Narita has been on excursion in the United States since Katsuyori Shibata granted his request in September 2019. He briefly competed on the independent scene for the likes of Warrior Wrestling and Black Label Pro while he trained at the LA Dojo, but his progress was halted as the COVID-19 pandemic worsened. He returned to action in January 2021, though, and he has been a regular feature on NJPW Strong ever since, competing against the likes of Bateman, Chris Dickinson and Misterioso.
