Report: Rhea Ripley Set To Join WWE Main Roster

Recent loss to Io Shirai has sparked speculation...

Following her loss to NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai in the main event of the November 18 episode of NXT, there is talk that Rhea Ripley could soon be headed to the main WWE roster.

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that he had "heard talk of Ripley moving to the main roster".

The definitive and clean ending of the match, coupled with the post-match embrace and show of respect, was a signifier that they were "finishing up their story".

Meltzer stated that "my impression is from watching [the match] is that Rhea is going to the main roster".

The former NXT Women's Champion has some experience wrestling on the main roster, having competed as a member of team NXT at last year's Survivor Series and wrestled Charlotte Flair in an NXT Women's Title match at WrestleMania 36.

While nothing is confirmed, the clean loss to Shirai could be a hint that she will be moving away from the black and yellow brand soon.
