Report: Stephanie McMahon Took Leave Of Absence Due To Private Matter

A private matter influenced Stephanie McMahon's decision

During a tumultuous week for WWE in which Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out of Monday Night Raw, Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon announced she would be taking a leave of absence from most of her duties to focus on her family.

Triple H's recent health issues and McMahon's busy schedule for many years reportedly influenced her decision to step away from the company but that seemingly isn't the whole story. Speaking about the situation, PWTorch's Wade Keller reported McMahon took a leave of absence due to something that is "very private."

"Whatever is going on, sounds like it's just very private and I have not been given any indications of what that is. And so it's a private and personal matter, it could have to do with Vince McMahon or Shane McMahon, or Triple H. It also could have to do with something completely different within the family or something completely different going on. I just can say that I'm pretty sure it will not get out, at least not imminently. And it's probably not going to be something that's like making headlines or anything like that," Keller said.

McMahon has worked full-time for WWE since 1998. She has been the company's Chief Brand Officer since 2013 and Stephanie also sits on the organisation's board of directors.
