Report: Timing Issues Affected Goldberg-Drew McIntyre Segment On WWE Raw

McIntyre's post-match promo had to be scrapped...

Goldberg returned to WWE TV earlier this week and closed out Raw Legends Night with Drew McIntyre. The WWE Hall Of Famer cut a promo on The Scottish Psychopath which made little sense as he said McIntyre didn't respect the WWE legends on the ramp and claimed the champion believed they didn't pose a threat to him. Goldberg then said McIntyre was wrong to believe this and challenged him to a WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 31.

Goldberg's promo came only months after McIntyre had defended the honour of WWE legends during his rivalry with Randy Orton.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, McIntyre was originally scheduled to cut a promo about the legends on the ramp before Goldberg made his entrance. Raw was running behind schedule, though, and WWE decided to scrap the champion's promo and have Goldberg come out much sooner than originally planned.

This ultimately meant Goldberg ended up responding to a promo from McIntyre which didn't exist.
