Report: Top WWE Stars Excited About Cody Rhodes' Return
Rhodes is expected to rejoin WWE soon
Cody Rhodes leaving AEW is one of the most seismic pieces of wrestling news in ages, with the subsequent news that Rhodes is widely expected to return to WWE truly surprising to many people.
Now, a report from Fightful Select has suggested that the WWE locker room is not only aware of the fact that Rhodes may imminently be rejoining the company, but several ‘top stars’ are excited about the former ‘Dashing One’s’ return.
The report states that within the WWE locker room ‘the prevailing belief is that Cody Rhodes fell out of power in AEW and wanted a significant raise’ - although this has not been confirmed or indeed mentioned by Rhodes’ camp or by anyone in AEW.
Much like with wrestling fans, there was said to be a mixture of ‘excitement and shock’ in the WWE locker room at the news of Cody’s AEW departure, and with many on WWE’s roster having come up in the business with Cody and spent a lot of time with him - including several top stars - they are ready to welcome ‘The American Nightmare’ back with open arms, should a deal arise for Cody to return.
One source told Fightful that they “think it [Cody returning] will be great for fans, and considers it the most interesting thing in the company in a long time”.
No doubt, wherever Cody Rhodes ends up, it’s sure to make for some headline grabbing news.
