Report: Uneasiness Within WWE NXT UK

What's next for WWE NXT UK?

All is seemingly not well on WWE NXT UK.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the next two sets of TV tapings from WWE's UK brand were cancelled on Tuesday, August 9, which has caused "a lot of uneasiness within the NXT UK crew." WWE stated that the tapings had been cancelled because BT Studios was needed for football coverage. The reaction from talent to the news was seemingly not positive, though, as WWE could have held the tapings at another location and "shutting down tapings is never a good sign."

Since then "nobody really has been told anything", according to Meltzer.

Speculation about the long-term future of WWE NXT UK has been rife for years and that has only increased in recent months after questions about pay arose. This came after former referee Artemis revealed she took a massive pay cut from being a teacher to work on NXT UK and WWE opted not to give her a pay rise earlier this year despite the cost of living crisis within the United Kingdom.
