Report: Update On Renee Young's Post-WWE Plans

She'll reportedly leave the company after this weekend...

On Wednesday, it emerged that Renee Young had handed in her notice and would be leaving WWE. Young will depart the company following SummerSlam 2020 weekend

Many were curious about what the former Monday Night Raw commentator will do next and Dave Meltzer shed more light on Young's post-WWE plans in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Meltzer noted he had been told by someone close to the situation that "it's inevitable" Renee works in All Elite Wrestling, either hosting a show or doing something different. This won't be for some time, however, as the popular Canadian is reportedly bound by a "serious" non-compete clause upon leaving WWE.

The former WWE Backstage host also has some offers on the table from outside of professional wrestling and Renee would be interested in working on sports, comedy shows, talk shows and podcasts.

Young will ultimately depart WWE after an eight-year run with the company. During that time, she hosted a number of shows on the WWE Network including Unfiltered With Renee Young and Talking Smack. Most recently, she was the co-host of WWE Backstage on FS1. Renee was also the first full-time female commentator on Raw from August 2018 until October 2019.
