Report: Vince McMahon's New WWE Contract Includes Code Of Conduct Clause

Ahead of WWE's sale to Endeavor, it emerged that Vince McMahon had officially signed a new employment agreement with WWE. The 77-year-old is signed with WWE as Executive Chairman for two years from January 9, 2023, and the deal will be automatically extended in one-year intervals when it expires in 2025 unless WWE or McMahon provide a 180-day notice. 

McMahon has a base salary of $1.2 million and could earn millions more in bonuses.

As part of his WWE deal, McMahon is bound by a code of conduct clause, the Hollywood Reporter has revealed. McMahon's employment with the company will remain in place as long as he complies with WWE's "Conflict of Interest and Code of Conduct" and the organisation's "Equal Opportunity and Non-Harassment Policy", among other terms.

If McMahon was bound to similar terms during his time as WWE CEO and Chairman is unknown. The 77-year-old resigned from the company in July 2022 amidst a sexual misconduct and hush money scandal, during which it was alleged that McMahon paid tens of millions to cover up allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity. 

McMahon addressed the allegations against him after WWE agreed to sell to Endeavor last week. WWE is set to merge with UFC under a new parent company by the end of 2023 and McMahon will be the Executive Chairman of the new organisation.
