Report: WCW Faction To Be Referenced On WWE SmackDown

WCW faction to be mentioned on WWE SmackDown

An old faction from World Championship Wrestling will be mentioned on tonight's go-home edition of Friday Night SmackDown before WrestleMania 39.

According to WRKD Wrestling, the Latino World Order will be brought up on SmackDown, as they tweeted: "You can expect a reference to the LWO on #Smackdown tomorrow night."

The LWO will likely be mentioned as part of a segment between Legado Del Fantasma and Rey Mysterio as Santos Escobar and co. have been alongside Mysterio during his feud with his son Dominik and The Judgment Day. This has seen Santos Escobar face Judgment Day in singles, mixed tag team, and trios action, coming up short on each occasion. According to reports, Legado Del Fantasma will be at ringside for Rey's match with Dominik Mysterio on night one of WrestleMania 39 on Saturday, April 1.

The LWO was a short-lived stable in WCW between October 1998 and January 1999 that consisted of top luchadors, including Eddie Guerrero, La Parka, Hector Garza, Psicosis, Rey Mysterio, and Juventud Guerrera. Following the group's collapse, Mysterio and Guerrero would form The Filthy Animals.
