Report: Why Carlito Missed WWE Raw Legends Night Revealed

Monday Night Raw opened the year with Raw Legends Night and numerous Superstars from the past including Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Torrie Wilson and Melina all appeared on the show in various capacities. 

One name who was advertised for the event but didn't appear was Carlito. Fightful Select reported ahead of Raw there were issues which prevented the former Intercontinental Champion from appearing in person but did not state what those issues were.

The reason for his absence has seemingly now been revealed by Wrestling Inc. They noted WWE did contact Carlito about being on Raw Legends Night, but he was never officially booked on the show. Someone backstage simply jumped the gun on announcing his appearance and included him in the advertisement. 

There is no bad blood between Carlito and WWE over the false announcement and the company advertising his appearance was just a communication error. 

If Carlito had appeared on the show, it would have been his first appearance on the red brand in over 10 years.
