Report: Why Tessa Blanchard Decided Not To Re-Sign With IMPACT Wrestling Revealed

She remains a free agent...

On September 12, Tessa Blanchard competed in her first match since she was fired by IMPACT Wrestling and dropped the Warrior Wrestling Women's Title to Kylie Rae.

Blanchard has been a free agent since June 25 when IMPACT sacked her and stripped her of the world championship. The Queen Of The Carolinas contract was expiring ahead of Slammiversary 2020 on July 18 and both sides failed to agree to terms on a one-night deal so Tessa could drop the title.

It was unknown why Blanchard hadn't signed a new deal with IMPACT ahead of her firing, but F4W Online's Dave Meltzer reported the world champion decided not to re-sign because she thought she could get a better contract elsewhere.

Meltzer tweeted: "Nothing official. She left Impact because she believes she can get a better offer elsewhere. That seems to leave two options unless ROH is really aggressive about strengthening that division."
