Report: WWE Told NXT Wrestler To Cut Their Hair

An order from Johnny Ace

Want to keep your long luscious locks? Don't sign with WWE.

Javier Bernal, a former hair model who is now a WWE developmental talent in NXT, was told by the company to cut his hair, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

John Laurinaitis - who had long blonde hair for much of his in-ring career as Johnny Ace - reportedly saw Bernal during rehearsals and told the developmental talent he should cut his hair. Although Laurinaitis was said to have mentioned the decision was ultimately up to Bernal, Meltzer noted Laurinaitis "pretty much ordered" him to get his hair cut.

Bernal went through with Laurinaitis' recommendation and he is scheduled to debut on tonight's episode of 205 Live with a much shorter hairstyle in a match against Draco Anthony. Also set for 205 Live is Lash Legend vs. Fallon Henley and Bodhi Hayward vs. James Drake.

Real name Randy Jose Beidelschies, Bernal signed with WWE following the company's Las Vegas tryouts in August. He previously played American football at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
