Report: WWE Wanted Legion Of Doom In WWE 2K22

No LOD this year, though

Several legends will be playable characters in WWE 2K22, including the likes of Bret Hart, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Diesel, X-Pac and 'Macho Man' Randy Savage.

Two WWE Hall Of Famers absent from the upcoming video game, though, are The Road Warriors, also known as The Legion of Doom.

WWE wanted Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk to be in 2K22, according to Michael Straw of Sports Gamers Online. A deal couldn't be reached with the estates of Hawk and Animal, though, due to "tension between the parties."

The Legion of Doom have appeared in WWE video games in the past, including SmackDown vs. Raw, WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain, WWE 13, and WWE All Stars. They haven't appeared in a title for several years but were included in RetroMania Wrestling, a wrestling video game independent of WWE.

Beyond the aforementioned legends, other stars of the past are planned for WWE 2K22 in a future downloadable content pack. They are Umaga, The Boogeyman, Yokozuna and Vader.

WWE 2K22 will be released on current and past-generation consoles on Friday, March 11.
