Rey Mysterio Dealing With Shoulder Injury

As a result of Money in the Bank...

His victory over United States champion Samoa Joe may have only taken a matter of minutes (abbreviated due to Joe bleeding profusely from the nose), but the post-match beatdown of Rey Mysterio lasted far longer. And Mysterio is still feeling the effects of that overall skirmish.

Mysterio posted a video to Instagram, showing him receiving a plasma injection into his left shoulder, due to what he says is a separation of his AC joint.

Mysterio says the injury was sustained from a pair of uranages delivered by the powerful Joe, causing him to land full-weight on his shoulder. As a result of the injury, the legendary masked man revealed he currently has limited range of motion in his shoulder, and is having difficulty lifting his arm.

It is unknown how much time Mysterio could miss as a result of the injury. It is also unclear what will become of the United States title, if Mysterio will be forced to vacate it. WWE ran an angle on Monday in which Samoa Joe (referencing the controversial pinfall at Money in the Bank, in which his shoulder was clearly up) said Mysterio can simply hand the belt back to him.
