ROH Women's Champion Rok-C Participates In WWE Tryout

Tryouts took place over the past few days

ROH Women's World champion Rok-C was part of a recent spate of WWE tryouts held between Wednesday and Friday at the Performance Center in Orlando. A photo gallery on WWE's website includes several images of Rok-C in training.

Rok-C became the first (and thus far only) person to hold ROH's Women's title, which was commissioned in 2021. She captured the title at Death Before Dishonor on September 12, defeating Miranda Alize in the finals of a single-elimination tournament.

She went on to successfully defend her title over Willow Nightingale at Final Battle last weekend. After the match, Rok-C was confronted by Impact and AAA titleholder Deonna Purrazzo, who issued a challenge to her (which Rok-C accepted).

In October, ROH announced a forthcoming hiatus, in which all talents would be released from their contracts at the end of 2021, with permission to sign elsewhere even before then. Jay Lethal signed with AEW shortly thereafter, while Brody King has reportedly signed. Pure champion Josh Woods worked an AEW Dark taping. In addition, former Tag Team champions Mike Bennett and Matt Taven, as well as Rhett Titus, have made notable appearances for NWA.
