Roman Reigns Expected To Draw 'Insane Merch Numbers' Following WWE Return

Big money from the Big Dog

Roman Reigns will continue to be a cash cow for WWE.

Fightful Select has reported that Roman Reigns is "expected to do insane merch numbers for WWE" following his return. Reigns is said to already be off to a good start as his custom title belts very quickly sold out on WWE Shop.

Reigns has been one of WWE's top merch sellers for years and he was often the top merch seller. That has changed in 2024, though, with Cody Rhodes often shifting the most merchandise for WWE, such is his popularity.

Roman Reigns had been off WWE programming since losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 40. Reigns made his return at SummerSlam, taking out Solo Sikoa which allowed Rhodes to retain his title, following months of Sikoa forming his own Bloodline and proclaiming himself as the Tribal Chief.

WWE have changed Roman Reigns' status following his SummerSlam return, switching him to a babyface for the first time since early 2020. Reigns will make his first appearance on SmackDown since his SummerSlam return on Friday night in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
