Sammy Guevara Addresses Fan Reception To Himself & Tay Conti

Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti recently appeared on Barstool Rasslin', and Sammy gave his thoughts on the AEW crowd's recent response to the pair.

"I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say I can't wait until I'm a four-time, five-time champion. People are clamouring for it."

Sammy is now a three-time AEW TNT Champion, although he recently lost the belt to Scorpio Sky. 

Guevara continued:

"Really what happened is, people exposed themselves. I don't think people hate us. People exposed themselves to being fake. The real people are still there. Our core audience, people who have always supported us, still support us."

AEW and Tony Khan recently appeared to pull the trigger on a heel turn for Guevara and Conti, seemingly a response to an organic shift in feeling from audiences towards the pair during their feud with Dan Lambert's stable. However, evidently from this interview and recent promos on TV, Sammy and Tay are portraying oblivious heels, who still arrogantly believe themselves to be babyfaces.
