Scott Norton Returning To NJPW At Windy City Riot

Scott Norton will compete in a New Japan ring for the first time in five years

New Japan Pro-Wrestling legend Scott Norton will return to the company at their Windy City Riot event.

Norton will wrestle his first match for the promotion in five years on April 16 in Chicago when he competes in a 12-man tag team match.

The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion will be representing the Bullet Club, teaming with The Good Brothers, El Phantasmo, Chris Bey and Hikuleo to take on United Empire's Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb, TJP, Aaron Henare and Aussie Open.

The 60-year-old Norton's last NJPW appearances came in 2017. He participated in the New Japan Rumble at Wrestle Kingdom 11 and then competed in a 10-man tag at the following night's New Year's Dash.

Scott 'Flash' Norton made his New Japan debut in 1990 and wrestled for the promotion extensively over the course of the next sixteen years.

As well as being a former two-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, he is also a two-time IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champion and G1 Tag League winner.

A freelancer who has been in semi-retirement since 2006, Norton also wrestled for WCW during the Monday Night Wars.
