Scotty 2 Hotty Says He Didn't Know Adam Cole Was Leaving WWE NXT Until After He Was Already Gone

The former Performance Center trainer also reveals Cole was emotional before and after his final NXT match

Former NXT trainer Scotty 2 Hotty has revealed that he didn't know Adam Cole had left WWE until after he'd gone.

Hotty, who worked at the WWE Performance Center between 2016 and November of last year, spoke to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful and alongside revealing when he knew Cole was gone, also spilled some backstage details surrounding the Undisputed Era man's last match in the black and gold ring: "Dude, I didn’t know until after Cole was gone," Scotty said.

"I saw him before his last match and somebody said, ‘He’s pretty upset’ before he went out there and then he came back and I saw he looked like he was upset. Regal was talking to him over in the corner. We were kept in the dark on a lot. Everything was very hush-hush there, and I didn’t know until after he was gone.

"Even with Gargano - is he gone? Is he not gone? I don’t know. I see he opens his ProWrestlingTees store, so I assume he’s gone. Even when I was there it was like that," he said.

Adam Cole's last NXT match was the Best Two Out of Three Falls affair against Kyle O'Reilly at NXT TakeOver: 36 in August of last year.

Cole then debuted for AEW at the end of the All Out pay-per-view in September.
