Sean Waltman Challenges Joey Janela For GCW Spring Break 6

The former X-Pac's in action WrestleMania weekend

Sean "X-Pac" Waltman will wrestle his first one on one singles match in over seven and a half years later this spring, when he takes on Joey Janela at Game Changer Wrestling's Spring Break 6 in Fair Park, TX.

The challenge was issued Saturday night at GCW's The Coldest Winter in Los Angeles. The previous night, Waltman teamed with Janela to defeat Matt Cardona and Brian Myers at GCW's Welcome to Heartbreak, also in LA.

After the match, Waltman addressed the crowd, saying this was his final match. As he spoke, Janela suddenly laid him out with a superkick.

Per cagematch.net, this would be Waltman's first one on one singles match since August of 2014. Aside from a three way match in January 2015 that included Matt Hardy, and a pair of battle royals, Waltman has wrestled exclusively in tag team matches since, before retiring in 2019.

GCW Spring Break 6 will be a two-night event in Fair Park, TX, held on Thursday, March 31, and Friday, April 1. AJ Gray has challenged GCW champion Jon Moxley for the card, by virtue of winning a "Grab the Brass Ring" ladder match at The Wrld on GCW last month.
