Seth Rollins References AEW On WWE Raw
Seth Rollins mentions a major Cody Rhodes moment in AEW
A famous moment in All Elite Wrestling's history was referenced on Monday's episode of Raw by Seth Rollins.
The former Universal Champion has been feuding with Cody Rhodes since The American Nightmare returned at WrestleMania 38 and Rollins interrupted a Cody promo on last night's show before he referenced Rhodes smashing the throne with a sledgehammer at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019, saying: "You don't get to take a sledgehammer to the throne and then come back and try and take that from me."
Rollins also admitted he didn't like Cody and referred to the creation of All Elite Wrestling, adding: "Every day you were gone, you and your little friends, you tried to tear down what I was building here and when that didn't work out so well for you, you came running back."
Rhodes founded All Elite Wrestling with wife Brandi, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Tony Khan in January 2019 and the promotion have established themselves as WWE's main competition. Cody and Brandi exited the company in February 2022.
Cody and Rollins will go one-on-one for the third time at Hell In A Cell on June 5, this time inside the steel structure.
