SHOCK Result At AEW Collision Taping

A shock result occurred at Tuesday night's AEW Collision taping

All Elite Wrestling taped the Saturday, December 9 edition of AEW Collision very early this week and matches were filmed on Tuesday night from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The show was centred around the continuation of the AEW Continental Classic Blue League and the taping was main evented by a high-profile singles match between Bryan Danielson and Andrade El Idolo. The expectation was Danielson would pick up another win on Tuesday night, especially as he is the slight favourite to win the whole tournament for the Triple Crown Championship, but The American Dragon found his shoulders pinned to the mat for the 1-2-3 on Collision.

PWInsider noted Danielson and Andrade put together a very physical match that left Danielson bleeding from above the eye. The former ROH World Champion was then pinned by El Idolo following his Hammerlock DDT finisher.

This was only Danielson's third loss since Full Gear 2022, with the American Dragon having racked up wins over the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Zack Sabre Jr., Ricky Starks, and Konosuke Takeshita over the past 12 months. His only two losses before Tuesday night came at Revolution against MJF in their Match of the Year Iron Man Match and against Christian Cage on the October 14 edition of Collision.

The other match taped for the Blue League was Claudio Castagnoli vs. Eddie Kingston.
