Solo Sikoa Pays Tribute To Umaga On WWE Raw

Solo Sikoa pays homage to Umaga

The 13th anniversary of Umaga's passing was acknowledged on Monday's episode of Raw.

The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa paid tribute to Umaga on the show, hitting Matt Riddle with the Samoan Spike and the Samoan Bulldozer in a post-match attack following Riddle and Kevin Owens' Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title clash with The Usos.

Both Sikoa and Umaga are part of the Anoa'i family, the legendary wrestling family that also includes Roman Reigns, The Usos, Rikishi, The Rock, and The Wild Samoans.

Real name Edward Fatu, Umaga was a popular talent in WWE during the 2000s, first competing in the company as Jamal of 3-Minute Warning with his cousin Rosey. He was later repackaged as Umaga upon his return to the company in 2006 and he featured in several major matches, including the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23. Umaga was also a two-time Intercontinental Champion.

Umaga was released by WWE in June 2009 for his second violation of the organisation's wellness policy and his refusal to enter rehab. He passed away on December 4, 2009, following a heart attack.
