Steph De Lander To Undergo Neck Surgery

Steph De Lander will be out of action for many months due to needing surgery

During the TNA Victory Road event on Friday September 13, Steph De Lander emerged to cut a promo in front of the fans, battling through “What!” chants to announce that she had suffered a serious injury and would be requiring surgery.

She explained that she was in pain every day, and that she would eventually be back. The details were kept scarce initially, though she did note on social media that landing on her head for seven years played a part into why she now needed surgery.

Following Victory Road, TNA’s Gia Miller spoke to fans on a video, announcing officially that De Lander’s surgery would mean that she would be spending anywhere from six to ten months away from the ring, keeping her out for the remainder of the year, and potentially much of next year too.

De Lander was in the midst of a storyline involving Matt Cardona and PCO in TNA. At Victory Road, she embraced on-screen husband PCO and was helped out of the arena, and this distraction and emotional moment allowed Cardona to ambush Rhino in order to pick up the victory.
