Tetsuya Naito Not Interested In Calling Out AEW Talent For Forbidden Door

Who will Tetsuya Naito face at Forbidden Door?

One year on from forming a working relationship, AEW and NJPW will host the joint-pay-per-view, Forbidden Door, on June 26 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The nature of the card has reportedly not been determined, although many expect several AEW vs. NJPW matches to take place on the show, with dream matches like CM Punk vs. KENTA and Kazuchika Okada vs. Adam Cole having been speculated on.

Tetsuya Naito will also be in action at the show, and while some hope he will face former faction-mate Andrade El Idolo, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion told Sports Illustrated he isn't going to call anyone out for the event.

"There is no wrestler I want to call out. The reason is simple. Wrestlers in AEW will all gather and shout, 'I want to wrestle Tetsuya Naito!' and 'I want to fight Los Ingobernables de Japon!' It isn't hard to see this happening. It won't take long before it does," Naito said.

Who Naito will face at the show ultimately remains to be seen but he may well enter the United Center as the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. The leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon is scheduled to challenge Kazuchika Okada for the title at the May 1 Wrestling Dontaku show to bring their latest programme to an end.
