The Elite Win Best Of 7, Regain AEW World Trios Titles

Following a wild ladder match

The Elite are once again AEW Trios champions, after defeating Death Triangle four matches to three in a Best of 7 series that culminated in a ladder match on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

Late in the contest, Kenny Omega hit Rey Fenix with a One Winged Angel off of a ladder bridge inside the ring. While Omega lay on the mat, Pac attempted a Black Arrow, but Omega got the knees up to counter. With Fenix and Pac out (and Penta El Zero Miedo still down after being put through a table at ringside), Omega made the slow climb up the ladder to pull down one of the belts to win.

The Elite came back from down three matches to one in a Best of 7 series that began at Full Gear on November 19.

The win makes Omega and The Young Bucks two time Trios champions. The group's first reign ended due to suspension, following the post-All Out fight with CM Punk and Ace Steel.

Death Triangle's reign as champions ends after 126 days. They became champions on September 7, winning the vacated belts in a top contenders match against Orange Cassidy and Best Friends.
