The Rock Reveals WWE WrestleMania 29 Injury Cost Him His Six-Pack

All on the line for the WWE Title

The Rock has revealed his WrestleMania 29 match against John Cena is the reason he no longer has a six-pack.

The Brahma Bull defended the WWE Championship against Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 29, one year on from their 'Once In A Lifetime' encounter, and The Rock tore his abdominal and abductor muscles and suffered a hernia during the match.

The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment was able to carry on and Cena pinned him to win the world title after 23 minutes.

Speaking on WIRED's 'The Web's Most Searched Questions', The Rock revealed emergency surgery following the match is the reason he no longer has perfect abs.

"All these Instagram fitness models have these incredible six-, eight-, 12-, 24-pack stomachs. I've got, like, a five-and-a-half pack, sometimes a four-and-a-half-pack! But the problem was, which a lot of people don't know, in a wrestling match, I tore the top of my quad off my pelvis... It caused a chain reaction and it tore my abdomen wall. I had to do a triple hernia emergency surgery for [three tears]. So, they're not perfect abs," Rock said.

The Rock hasn't stepped in the ring since WrestleMania 29 but he could be set to return to the squared circle at WrestleMania 38. WWE is hoping the Hollywood star will go one on one with Roman Reigns at the pay-per-view.
