The Viking Raiders Do Carpool Karaoke On WWE Raw
An unexpected turn of events...
Since they debuted as a tag team in 2014, The Viking Raiders have been presented as legitimate forces of nature who have had excellent matches in Ring Of Honor, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and WWE. They have entertained fans with their unique offence and always garner big reactions when they lead the crowd in a "War!" chant.
The former Raw Tag Team Champions seemingly received a sudden change in direction on last night's episode of Monday Night Raw. During the show, the broadcast cut to a pre-taped vignette of Ivar and Erik driving around. For some unknown reason, they were wearing their helmets with a t-shirt and jeans, and the segment consisted of them saying things like "We worship Thor and we'll knock them to the floor" and "We're men with beards who all should fear," followed up by them shouting "Viking Raiders!" Ivar was also holding a turkey leg during the whole vignette.
The segment did not go down well with fans and has been universally panned online, with many confused and annoyed about what they watched.
