Tony D'Angelo Dealing With PCL Issue

Tony D'Angelo is dealing with a PCL issue

WWE provided an update on the condition of Tony D'Angelo during last night's episode of NXT.

D'Angelo suffered an injury during his NXT North American Title Ladder Match qualifier with Wes Lee (on the show that aired September 27). The referee stopped the match and awarded the victory to Lee when it became apparent that D'Angelo would be unable to continue.

On last night's show, Channing 'Stacks' Lorenzo confronted Lee while he was being interviewed backstage. He noted D'Angelo's absence through injury and confirmed that his partner has an issue with his PCL, saying that it is going in a different direction to the rest of his knee.

He continued by claiming that Lee injured 'The Don of NXT' on purpose, before threatening that his actions will have consequences.

WWE have not officially commented on the severity of D'Angelo's knee, but on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he will not require major surgery to repair the damage and will be back in action sooner than people think.
