Tony Khan Explains Why Bandido & Juice Robinson Are Wrestling On AEW Dynamite

Bandido and Juice Robinson will make their AEW debuts on Dynamite

All Elite Wrestling will head to the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, September 28 for the latest edition of Dynamite.

Two major matches have been announced for the show and Chris Jericho will defend the ROH World Championship for the first time against former champion Bandido, who will be making his AEW debut. Jon Moxley will also go one-on-one with Juice Robinson in an AEW World Title Eliminator in what is also Robinson's AEW debut.

Some questioned why Bandido and Juice Robinson are featured in high-profile matches and Tony Khan explained the reason for his booking on Instagram, writing: "Bandido never got a rematch for the title, which is implied in the copy I wrote. Juice has beaten Mox in NJPW, which is explicitly written in the copy I wrote."

Bandido previously reigned as ROH World Champion from July 2021 until April 2022, when the belts were unified in a match with Jonathan Gresham at Supercard of Honor.

Juice Robinson, meanwhile, defeated Jon Moxley during the 2019 G1 Climax. The two competitors did previously have a programme in NJPW over the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship that culminated with a win for Moxley at Wrestle Kingdom 14.
