Tony Khan Provides Update On Penelope Ford's AEW Status

Penelope Ford has not been seen on AEW programming since January 2022

Whilst it’s true that not every member of AEW’s roster can get screen time, one star notable by her absence is Penelope Ford, with Ford having not featured on AEW programming since January 2022.

One fan in particular accused AEW President Tony Khan of ‘giving up’ on Ford, but Khan confirmed that Ford is out of action with and has not been medically cleared to compete, Tweeting the following response:

“Not at all, total opposite in fact; she’s a great wrestler, and I can’t wait until she’s medically cleared to come back. She’s been in some classic @AEW matches, and hopefully she’ll be in many more! #AEWRampage”

Ford is the latest name added to AEW’s ever growing injury list, joining the likes of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, The Undisputed Elite, and others.

Ford last wrestled on AEW Dark, defeating Angelica Risk in a match taped on January 15. This was just two weeks removed from Ford and The Bunny’s blood spattered street fight against TayJay (Tay Conti and Anna Jay) on AEW: Rampage New Year’s Smash in December 2021.
