Tony Khan Reveals AEW Grand Slam Gate Has Surpassed Last Year's Event

A big show for AEW

While the 2022 edition of AEW Grand Slam might not reach the record attendance of last year's event, Tony Khan has revealed the show will actually make more money for the promotion.

Tweeting about the show, Tony Khan revealed the AEW Grand Slam gate has already surpassed 2021's show and is close to topping $1 million.

"Surpassed 2021 @AEW Grand Slam gate; now SO close to the FIRST $1 million @AEWonTV gate, after 3 straight PPVs hitting $1 million for the 1st time I promise you won't want to miss Grand Slam, super card + maybe something up my sleeve LIVE on TBS + tickets," Khan wrote

AEW Grand Slam will take place at New York City's Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday, September 21. The show will feature a live edition of Dynamite and a taped episode of Rampage. A new AEW World Champion will be crowned on the show when Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson face off for the gold on Dynamite.
