Tony Khan Teases Surprise For AEW Revolution Ladder Match

The Face of the Revolution Ladder Match will take place at the March 7 PPV

Last week’s edition of AEW: Dynamite saw Cody Rhodes announce that a Face of the Revolution six-man ladder match will take place at AEW Revolution 2021.

So far three competitors have been announced; Cody Rhodes, Penta el Zero M, and Scorpio Sky, with a qualifying match between Rey Fenix and Lance Archer scheduled for tonight’s AEW: Dynamite.

AEW President Tony Khan recently spoke to Haris Kruskic of Bleacher Report, revealing that there’ll be two qualifying matches for spots four and five, but he plans to leave the final spot open for a possible surprise participant:

“So I’m having a qualifying match this week [Archer vs. Fenix], I’m planning another one the next week, and then there’s another spot. I haven’t decided what to do with it yet,”

Khan continued:

“I have an idea and I think I know who might be pretty good for it. So people might have to wait until Revolution to find out who the last person in the Ladder match is, but there’s definitely going to be some exciting qualifying matches the next couple weeks.”
