Triple H Provides Injury Update On Former WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa

When will the former champ return?

Former WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa has been out of action since the beginning of March after it was revealed that he was in need of surgery on his neck.

Since then we have seen a couple of outstanding updates on WWE PC's YouTube channel. Now, NXT supremo Triple H has provided the latest update on Blackheart's return.

During the media call following this past weekend's NXT TakeOver: XXV event, The Game revealed that Ciampa is ahead of schedule for a return, but that return is still some way off: "Cleared for non-contact means you can't do anything in this business.

"He can talk which is what was doing in this moment. He's ahead of schedule and doing extremely well. Ahead of schedule on all of it and moving along. But with the type of injury he had and the type of surgery he had, especially in this from a physicality standpoint, you're not doing anything until you're 100 per cent. It's not like you can go in there and lightly take suplexes. You have to be 100 per cent. So, he's still got a ways to go but he's way ahead of the curve and the schedule."

Upon his return, it remains to be seen whether Tommaso will return to NXT or continue his fledgeling main roster run. Ciampa, of course, relinquished Goldy (his NXT title) on the March 20 episode of NXT TV.
