Trish Stratus Honoured By WWE Return

Trish is looking to deliver some Stratusfaction at WrestleMania 39

Trish Stratus is honoured to be part of WrestleMania 39.

The WWE Hall of Famer will team with WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Lita & Becky Lynch to take on Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) at the Show of Shows, as confirmed on this past Monday's episode of Raw.

Asked how it felt to be involved in WrestleMania almost 25 years after making her WWE debut, Trish spoke about how it was shocking to her and relayed a story about recently meeting a fan who watched her growing up who now has a child of their own.

Speaking during a recent appearance on The Bump, Stratus said:

"First of all, it's shocking. I did an autograph signing the other week, and the dad was telling me how I had these moments, and then the son…so I said, 'Wow, so you've grown up watching me. Now you're growing up watching me'. That's crazy, that we're still doing our thing all these years later. We went out there, the things we did, the work we did, it was all for what the girls are doing now, it was for a change, it was for us to have representation to have a voice out there and really, seeing what the girls are doing now and to be able to dabble in and be among the girls and get a little taste of it as well, it's amazing. To watch it up close and live and see how professional and these amazing athletes these women are, having these moments, making history, and honestly to be alongside of it, it's an honour, and it's everything we could ask for when we were coming up".

Trish retired from performing full-time at Unforgiven 2006 (where she beat Lita to win the Women's Title). She has since made sporadic appearances, with her last match being a loss to Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019.
