Update On Bryan Danielson Working AEW All In Without A Contract, Pro Wrestling Future

More details on Bryan Danielson's current AEW contractual situation and future with the company

Ahead of AEW All In: London 2024 where Bryan Danielson will wrestle Swerve Strickland in the main event in what is a Title vs. Career match, Danielson revealed on AEW Dynamite that his AEW contract expired back in early August, and that doctors had tried to steer him away from competing in the ring. According to a report from Fightful Select, neither of these are a work and are actually close to the full truth.

Danielson wasn’t cleared to wrestle inside Blood & Guts, and has in fact only wrestled once between the Owen Hart Cup and All In itself. When looking ahead to the rest of his career where he won’t be working “full-time”, it is now expected that he will wrestle less regularly than first thought.

In regards to his contractual situation, Fightful have noted that Danielson has been working in AEW without a contract for three weeks and has continued as a talent, having creative input, and working on the disciplinary committee. It is stated that Tony Khan has a lot of trust in Danielson due to his selflessness in wanting to help put over talent, with it even stated that he would sometimes “regret” matches he won.

Following the end of his full-time run, whether that be straight after AEW All In or later this year, the expectation is that Danielson will remain in AEW with a push to negotiate a new deal coming when his current run comes to an end. On AEW Dynamite this week, Danielson teased what the result may be at All In with his shirt choice, which you can read about here.
