US Of Jay Open Challenge & More Set For NJPW New Beginning USA Strong Taping

Jay White in action

New Japan Pro-Wrestling will hold their first Strong tapings of the year next month when the company heads to Seattle's Washington Hall on January 15 for their New Beginning USA show.

With the show only a few weeks away, the promotion announced the first four matches today, revealing the taping will feature a US of Jay Open Challenge from Jay White.

The Switchblade has been calling out talent from other promotions since losing the NEVER Openweight Title to Tomohiro Ishii and White defeated AEW's Christopher Daniels at the December Strong taping. Who White will face in January has yet to be revealed but he called out The Elite's Adam Cole following his win over Daniels.

Three other matches were also set for New Beginning USA, including Brody King vs. Yuya Uemura, Clark Connors vs. TJP and El Phantasmo vs. Matt Rehwoldt.

Check out the full card below:

  • Jay White vs. TBA - US of Jay Open Challenge
  • El Phantasmo vs. Matt Rehwoldt
