Vince McMahon Return Sees Big Increase In WWE Raw TV Ratings

The boss = ratings

Last weekend it was announced that Vince McMahon would be making his return to WWE Raw with the boss set to "shake things up." While the show did go in a new direction with its onscreen management, and six new faces from NXT did receive their moves to the main roster - not too much was shaken up at all. It looks like WWE are playing the long game with the McMahons "taking back" Monday Night Raw.

The announcement of Vince returning certainly drummed up quite a bit of interest, especially after two of the previous three episodes of Raw received terrible reviews from the viewing public.

This intrigue resulted in Raw averaging 2.547 million viewers, up from 2.193 million the previous week. Here's the hourly breakdown:

Hour 1: 2.717 million viewers
Hour 2: 2.558 million viewers
Hour 3: 2.367 million viewers

After this week's Raw had finished, next week's was recorded as the roster are being given time off to spend with their families this festive period. The results for next week's Raw can be seen here, while the results for next week's SmackDown (also recorded this week) can be seen here.
