Wardlow Wins AEW TNT Title On Dynamite

The TNT title lives in Wardlow's World

Wardlow is the new AEW TNT champion, after defeating Scorpio Sky in a street fight on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite in Rochester, NY.

Though about half a dozen members of American Top Team ran interference in the middle of the match, Wardlow managed to take out the entire group. He also kicked out of an ensuing belt shot from Sky.

Sky then attempted his TKO finisher, but Wardlow dropped down and shoved him into Dan Lambert, who was on the apron. Wardlow then powerbombed Sky three times before pinning him with one foot on his chest.

The championship marks Wardlow's first title of any kind in AEW. This was his second time challenging for the title, previously losing to Sky in March, after MJF interfered.

Sky's second reign as TNT champion ends after 70 days. He won the title from Sammy Guevara in a ladder match on April 27 in Philadelphia.

This marks the second time that the TNT title changed hands in Rochester. Guevara became TNT champion for the first time when he defeated Miro there on September 29.
