What Happened Between Hangman Page & The Elite After AEW Dynamite Went Off The Air Revealed

Hangman Page and The Elite were in the same ring to close AEW Dynamite

After an initial tease on Being the Elite this week, a reunion between Hangman Page and The Elite was further hinted at on Wednesday night's edition of AEW Dynamite from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were in action in the main event of Dynamite as they challenged for the AEW World Trios Titles in a Three-Way that also featured the champions House of Black, and the Jericho Appreciation Society. House of Black ultimately retained but they were soon embroiled in a brawl with JAS as Dynamite prepared to go off the air.

The chaos didn't end there as a separate brawl between Blackpool Combat Club and Hangman Page & The Dark Order ended up spilling down the ramp into the squared circle. The brawl ended up leaving Hangman in the middle of the ring alone but as Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta prepared to enter the ring and attack Page, The Elite suddenly appeared behind Hangman which forced BCC to back off and end Dynamite on a cliffhanger.

AEW ultimately didn't save the reunion between Hangman Page and The Elite for a post-show segment. After Hangman turned to face his former friends, Kenny Omega waved him away and The Best Bout Machine and The Young Bucks exited the squared circle. Then after Page made his way to the back, Omega cut a promo for the fans in attendance in his hometown.

Omega said the following:

"I suppose if there's one thing that tonight has taught me, it's to never forget where you came from. Family is family, home is where the heart is. You can always choose your friends. One lesson I've learned as well, I suppose it's that if you've loved before, it's possible to possibly love again. Today, wow. What a success. Everything you see before you, this was nothing but a pipe dream. I was happy wrestling [names several places in Canada], Chalmers Rec Center. Then of course we have this little shindig. Stop me if you've heard this before. I think it was from a famous movie or something. If you build it, they will come.

"Boy, oh boy, did you guys come down for a show tonight. Though I am not a psychic, I do not have ESP, I have ESPN, by the looks of the crowd tonight, my guess is that we'll be back. I would love to say the famous line. However, we still have more wrestling for each and every one of you. So that ticket that you purchased, it's still good for one more hour of professional wrestling, so please stick around for a great episode of Rampage. It's coming up for you next. In case you have a curfew, a bed time, anything like that, yeah, sure, I guess I'll say the line. So for now, I must bid you adieu, so goodbye everyone, mwah [blows kiss] and goodnight. Bang [makes finger gun gesture]."
