WrestleMania 35 Venue Reportedly Confirmed

WrestleMania 35 is set to return to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, according to a tweet by Robbie Fox of BarstoolSports.com.

In the full story, Fox cites a 'source close to the deal'. The show is expected to be promoted as emanating from New York, even though MetLife Stadium is technically situated in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Other cities reportedly in the running were Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Detroit, Michigan, although New Jersey is said to be all but confirmed.
The stadium was also the venue for WrestleMania 29 in 2013, the show headlined by the second match between The Rock and John Cena. The card also featured Undertaker vs. CM Punk, in what would ultimately be the final win in 'Taker's undefeated WrestleMania streak.
This year's WrestleMania is set to take place in New Orleans, and a main event of Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar has been rumoured for many months. No matches for 'Mania 35 have yet been hinted at.
MetLife Stadium has a capacity of 82,500, and plays host to two NFL teams during football season: the New York Giants and New York Jets. At the time of its completion in 2010, it was reportedly the most expensive stadium ever constructed, costing approximately $1.6 billion.
WrestleMania 29 drew 80,676, making it the third highest-attended event in WWE history - behind only WrestleMania 32 in Arlington, Texas, and WrestleMania III in Pontiac, Michigan.
No official word has yet been given by WWE with regard to this apparent deal. It may seem surprising that they would return to a WrestleMania venue just six years after previously holding the event there - but this year's 'Mania is set to take place in the same venue that hosted the show in 2014.
If this does indeed prove to be true, it perhaps shows that WWE aren't afraid to limit WrestleMania to a smaller number of big locations.
