WWE Main Roster Member Hints At Answering Wes Lee's North American Championship Open Challenge

A Main Roster WWE Superstar Has Hinted At An NXT Appearance To Challenge For The North American Championship

There has been a fair bit of crossover between NXT and WWE’s main roster over the last few years, with the likes of AJ Styles, The Miz, Kevin Owens, and more appearing on the revamped NXT show. Another main roster star has hinted that he may be making a cameo very soon.

Cedric Alexander sent out a tweet stating that he may be the one to answer Wes Lee’s NXT North American Championship open challenge on the March 14 episode of NXT;

I’m free Tuesday nights….. I’ve never challenged for the #NXTNorthAmerican Title…. Hey @WesLee_WWE you feeling froggy? @WWENXT

Although Cedric Alexander fits the bill for what NXT was offering back in 2016 and 2017, he was hurried through developmental at the time to appear in Raw’s cruiserweight division following the overwhelming success of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament, in which Alexander turned heads with a stunning performance against Kota Ibushi. If Alexander does show up to answer Lee’s challenge, then it will be the first time since a match against Andrade Almas on October 13, 2016 that he will have competed on NXT programming.
