WWE Raw Draws Lowest Ratings In Show’s History For Second Consecutive Week
Undertaker, Kane, Shawn Michaels and Triple H couldn't stop the rot...
For the second week in a row, and third time in 2018 overall, WWE Raw has posted the lowest viewership ratings in the show's illustrious history. ShowBuzz Daily revealed the figures for this week's event, with 2.302 million viewers watching over the three hours. Here's the hourly breakdown of the figures:
Last week's show had a couple of season premiers and an NFL Monday Night Football game to compete with so the results were understandable. This week's show was the 15th most-watched show of the night and sixth most-watched in the crucial 18-49 demographic. WWE are on a pretty bad run when it comes to viewership figures, as this was the sixth week in a row the show has seen a decline in numbers.
Despite the overall drop in viewership, RAW did see an increase in individual hours with the first and second hour of the show compared to last week.
When the chips are down WWE are famed for bringing out the big guns to try and turn the tide and this week's show was no exception. The Undertaker, Kane, Triple H and Shawn Michaels had an altercation in the main event segment of the night ahead of The Phenom and The Game's meeting at Super Show-Down in Australia on Saturday. Rather bewilderingly, as you can see from the figures above, the third hour of Raw saw a drop off in viewers. Does this mean that nostalgia is broken in professional wrestling? Because that was an awesome segment - in this writer's opinion - involving four of the greatest of all time!
