WWE Reportedly Interested In Signing Giulia

WWE reportedly want to sign Giulia

WWE reportedly have their eye on one of the top joshi stars in Japan, with reports suggesting that the company are interested in signing Giulia.

The current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion has been one of the standout performers for STARDOM for several years, and a report from PWInsider suggests that WWE are keeping tabs on Giulia.

Giulia has held a litany of titles since breaking out in 2019, with her current run as NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion kicking off with a victory over Willow Nightingale in July.

All roads suggested that Giulia would eventually clash with Mercedes Moné for the title, but this is up in the air as Moné is still out with injury. PWInsider’s report further suggested that Giulia could be set to report to WWE’s Performance Center later this month, but this has seemingly been shut down by subsequent reports.

A follow-up by Dave Meltzer states that Giulia is under contract with STARDOM/NJPW parent company Bushiroad until March 2024. As for an appearance at the WWE PC this month, it’s unlikely that Bushiroad would sign off on this, with Giulia not believed to be booked in the US until NJPW Battle in the Valley in January 2024.
