WWE Retro Raw Reportedly Returning In January 2022

An old-school return

WWE will reportedly be bringing back Retro Raw during January 2022.

According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, WWE will once again be going old school in the new year as they change the aesthetic and production of their flagship Monday Night show, returning to the feel of yesteryear.

If accurate, it will be the first time in seven years that WWE have officially produced a Retro Raw. The last 'official' Retro Raw was presented on January 6 2014 and was presented as Old School Raw.

Since then, however, WWE have produced a number of one-off shows that highlight and celebrate the biggest stars and moments from the promotion's past. The last such event was held last January and dubbed WWE Legends Night Raw. That show saw a host of huge names in attendance and was marked by Goldberg's return to WWE, with the Hall Of Famer challenging Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title.

WWE also held a Raw Reunion episode in 2019, a show which saw the likes of John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, DX and The Kliq all in attendance.
